2015 was another successful year, with cool work from clients new and established.
Right at the end of 2014, I narrated the Lifetime Movie Network film, “Footsteps in the Snow,” a documentary about the oldest unsolved cold case in the USA, for Nancy Glass Productions. Click the logo to play.
The year began with a new project from some old friends. XYLEM, formerly Godwin Pumps, contacted me about doing a video to kick off the New Year. It not only allowed me to work with the XYLEM marketing team, led by Brian Gassler, but it gave me another opportunity to work with my old buddy, marketing whiz and syndicated cartoonist Dave Blazek. Dave did the pictures, I wrote and read the script.
2015 was another fun year working with Joanne Levy-Lamoueaux and the Phillies advertising dept. Before the season even started, I was profiled in the Phillies online newsletter.
At the end of the year, the advertising team enjoyed a night out together at Citizens Bank Park.
2015 marked another year of giving voice to the PA Lottery’s Instant Game commercials, on TV, radio and on social media. And I got to reprise my role as announcer on the Lottery’s “Holiday” spot, that has been running every November and December since 1992!
In the spring of 2015, I was hired to voice a series of commercials for and independent group running ads on behalf of eventual Philadelphia Mayor-elect Jim Kenney. I also did voice work for the mayor’s races in Jacksonville FL, and Charleston SC. In all, I worked on 15 campaigns across the country. Not bad for an “off” year.
2015 marked the continuation of a relationship I started with The Radio Agency in 2014, providing copywriting services for their stable of national clients. I worked with Mark Lipsky and company on projects for the ZOOM video conferencing app, Postnet, 1st Guard Insurance, Touch of Modern, Dish Network, Workiva, Pro Job Network, and others.
It was another year where I did quite a lot of voiceover work for the pharmaceutical industry. New clients: Pinnacle Health Communications, Impax Pharmaceuticals and Educational Resource Systems joined established clients Axiom, Red Nucleus, Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Ad Med in enlisting me to read their sometimes-challenging pharma and medical terminology and training modules.
In 2015, Steven Singer rolled out another batch of radio commercials using the slogan we originated back in 2002: “I Hate Steven Singer.” This time, we created five different short scenarios designed to work on satellite radio and Pandora. See, I really don’t hate Steven Singer!
